Design Influence Season II — Episode 3: Women’s Work — The Rise of Female Entrepreneurs in Kosovo

“From 12 years of experience with women entrepreneurs, I realized that they are way more hard-working than anyone could think. That’s because they’re never in the spotlight. That shows a different perspective that they belong to the kitchen, the factories, or whatever instead of leading something. Or managing something and moving things forward.”

This episode features Arta Istrefi, an experienced private sector development adviser, ecosystem builder at Swiss Entrepreneurship Program, Founder of Women Entrepreneurs Kosovo and a PhD candidate, based in Pristina. She is focussed on the growing role of entrepreneurship as an engine for economic mobility, particularly for women.

We had a chance to discuss her findings on how the younger generation of female entrepreneurs in Kosovo is taking the lead in developing ambitious, thriving businesses with global aspirations.
